The wonderful learners at our JigsawPlus Specialist Day Services have been baking with our resident Chef Kev! Following his super secret recipe they are creating the most delicious festive Mince Pies for sale!
Our Learners have been working on each of the key elements within the whole task of baking Mince Pies – such as selecting the correct equipment; weighing and measuring individual ingredients; using different techniques to mix those ingredients; setting/timing the oven and then literally putting the icing on top! Chef Kev has been really impressed with the focus our learners have shown and here\’s a photo of the spectacular finished products that our staff and families are now able to purchase in the run up to Christmas 2020! Note the beautiful labels – these use original artwork created by one of our learners. The Bakery at Cafe on the Park is one of the enterprises Jigsaw is able to offer learners at JigsawPlus: Specialist Day Services for Adults with Autism.
