Jigsaw School Celebrates Its Latest Ofsted Inspection Report

We are celebrating the publication of our latest Ofsted inspection report, which recognises the caring, inclusive and ambitious environment we strive to create for every pupil.

The report highlights the positive impact of our approach, recognising how we support autistic pupils to thrive academically, socially and emotionally through the expertise and dedication of staff across the school.

Inspectors particularly praised our approach to inclusion, personal development and wellbeing, attendance and behaviour and our post-16 provision.  Ofsted also highlighted the exceptional level of care provided to pupils, stating that “pastoral support is exemplary.”

The inspection findings reflect our continued focus on providing high-quality, individualised education that enables pupils to develop independence, confidence and the skills needed for adulthood.

Emma Hawkins, Co-Headteacher and Director of Education at Jigsaw School (pictured right), said:

“We are incredibly proud of this report and what it says about the experiences of our pupils and families. The findings reflect the expertise and compassion of our entire staff team, who work tirelessly to create an environment in which every pupil can flourish.”

Mariann Szabo, Co-Headteacher at Jigsaw School (pictured left), added:

“We are delighted that the report recognises the transformative impact that our school has on our pupils’ personal development and wellbeing.  Seeing our pupils grow in confidence and achieve outcomes that are meaningful to them is at the heart of everything we do.”

Kate Grant, Chief Executive of Jigsaw Trust, added:

“We are delighted that the report recognises the positive outcomes being achieved across Jigsaw School. At Jigsaw Trust, our mission is to create more opportunities for autistic people through high-quality education, vocational opportunities and wellbeing services.

The findings reflect the dedication of our staff, the resilience and achievements of our pupils, and the strong partnerships we have built with families. We are proud of the supportive and ambitious community we have created together and look forward to continuing this important work.”
