Learners at JigsawPlus have been focusing on baking Simnel cakes in the run up to Easter with slices being sold in our Cafe on the Park enterprise.
Under the careful guidance of our wonderful Chef, Kev, Learners have really enjoyed experiencing both the art and science of baking in their weekly sessions. Their latest efforts have focused on producing some absolutely delicious Simnel Cakes – a traditional Easter bake. Selecting ingredients, weighing, measuring and mixing using a variety of equipment and techniques, Learners have shown a tremendous focus and enjoyment in kitchen.
